Solomun has unveiled a new remix of Nina Simone’s ‘Take Care Of Business’, reimagining the legendary artist’s work through a modern electronic lens.
Out now via Verve Records, the remix marks the first release in a year-long series dedicated to Nina Simone, celebrating what would have been her 70th birthday.
Blending deep, melodic textures with Simone’s unmistakable voice, Solomun delivers a reinterpretation that bridges generations while preserving the emotional weight of the original recording.
“There are very few artists like Nina Simone who truly transcend time,” Solomun shared. “This remix comes from a place of deep respect for her work and voice, and the joy of engaging with it.”
The project will unfold throughout the year, with monthly releases from a diverse selection of artists including Mochakk, DESIREE, Austin Millz, dublon, Supershy and Antdot, each offering their own take on Simone’s legacy.
Earlier this month, Solomun continued his run of high-profile performances with a headline show at Alexandra Palace in London, following appearances at iconic venues such as Château de Chantilly, Théâtre Antique d’Orange, and the Royal Palace of Belgium.
With this release, Solomun once again reinforces his ability to bridge underground electronic music with timeless artistry.
